MATCH REPORT
After a poor first half which saw Faringdon trailing 1-0, the home side pulled off a much improved second half to get their season off to a winning start.

An early penalty awarded to Faringdon in the 2nd half was put away by Lee Queegan to put the home side level. A few minutes later Lee added his second to put Faringdon 2-1 up. The home side were beginning to play much better and Conor Olphert headed in from a near post Josh Copas corner to make it 3-1.

Littlemore continued to look dangerous and pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 to leave a nail-biting end to the game. However with ten minutes to go Rob Hoskin added Faringdon's 4th goal to give the home team some breathing space.

MATCH REPORT
Faringdon had to settle for a 1-1 draw having wasted plenty of first half possesion in this close encounter.

Having had plenty of chances in the 1st half the teams went in 0-0 at half time. The second half saw Grove come into the game more and one goal either way looked like it might settle it.

It was Grove who scored the opener but this only spurred on the home team who then began to create more openings.

It was Conor Olphert who got the teams level smashing home a great strike from the edge of the area driving the ball past the 'keeper and in off the post. Faringdon were on the up but were unable to find a winner in an entertaining 1-1 draw.

MATCH REPORT
After a number of missed chances Faringdon were left to hold on to a narrow 3-2 victory against South Reading in the Berks and Bucks Cup.

Two first half goals for Rob Hoskin looked to have given the away side some breathing space but the home side battled well during the second half and grabbed a goal back mid-way through the second half. However, minutes later Lee Queegan regained Faringdons two goal lead with a great strike over the 'keepers head.

With just three mintes remaining South Reading pulled another goal back but couldn't find a third goal to take the game into extra time.

October 12th
Summertown Stars (A) 7-0
Goalscorers: Rob Hoskin(5), Martin McCarthy(2)

MATCH REPORT
A convincing win for Faringdon in a game that was tight early on despite two early goals from Rob Hoskin in the opening 10 minutes. The home team showed plenty of promise despite the setback of losing the two goals and spent plenty of the 1st half on the attack. However, Faringdon defended well and despite conceding plenty of posession Rory in the Faringdon goal had little to do.

The second half saw Faringdon dominate for long periods of the match. Three further goals from Rob Hoskin and two from Martyn McCarthy sealed a convincing win for the away team.

October 19th
Donnington (A) 4-3
Goalscorers: Rob Hoskin(2), Lee Queegan, Adam Clarke

In this tough away fixture Faringdon raced into a 2-0 lead against the run of play only to be pegged back to 2-2 by the interval.

Goals from Rob Hoskin and Lee Queegan had given Faringdon the 2-0 lead but Donnington came back with two goals from corners just before the half-time break.

Faringdon came out in the second half more determined and Adam Clarke restored the Faringdon lead with a contender for Goal of the Season with a fine strike from outside the area. Ten minutes later Rob Hoskin used his strength to muscle the ball off a Donnington defender to score Faringdons 4th goal.

Donnington continued to press forward and the Faringdon defence were put under more pressure as the game went on. With two minutes remaining Donnington scored to make it a nail-biting end but Faringdon held out for victory.

BERKS & BUCKS CUP Barton Rovers (A) 2-4
Goalscorers: Rob Hoskin(4)

November 16th
LEAGUE CUP - Oxford Blackbirds (A) 1-3
Goalscorer: Rob Hoskin

MATCH REPORT
Faringdon went out of the League Cup at the first hurdle with defeat away to Oxford Blackbirds.

Faringdon were on the back foot straight from the start when Blackbirds scored from their first attack of the game. However, Faringdon began to see a little more of the ball after the goal and a great pas by Conor Olphert found Rob Hoskin down the right side and his shot beat the Blackbirds 'keeper to level the scores.

The goal lifted the Faringdon players and the team were unlucky not to go ahead minutes later. Rob Hoskin was brought down on the edge of the area and the resulting free kick from Conor Olphert was eventually scrambled away by the Blackbirds defence.

Blackbirds regained the lead later in the 1st half leaving Faringdon alot to do after the interval. An injury to Rob Hoskin meant he had to leave the pitch at half-time. Although Faringdon saw a little more of the ball, it was Blackbirds who were still creating the better chances and wrapped the game up with a third midway through the second half.

MATCH REPORT
Peter Little grabbed a hatrick as Faringdon put in a solid display to complete the double over Summertown Stars. The match wasn't comfortable until Faringdon had scored a third and the away team certainly made a fight of it.

Faringdon got off to a good start when Josh Copas' throw was held up by Rob Hoskin who played the ball back to Josh. He put in a perfect cross for Peter Little to fire home the opener. Rob Hoskin scored a second latching on to a through ball to slot the ball past the 'keeper.

In between Faringdons chances the away team had opportunities to score themselves but 'keeper Rory Mundell-Perkins, in his last appearence for the club, was in good form. Rory has put some excellent performances in over the years and will be sorely missed by the team.

Further goals by Rob Hoskin and two more by Peter Little to complete his hatrick gave the home team a great victory.
